Good Agricultural Practices Report

Under the project “Maintaining the Traditional Land-Use Practices Necessary for Conservation of Olive Associated Biodiversity in Mount Hermon, Lebanon” funded by CEPF, this report aims at highlighting on the Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) affecting the quality of olives and olive oil in the field and in the mill, especially those approved by the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture, in parallel with the global trends followed in the experience of the European Union and the International Olive Oil Council (International Olive Oil Council IOOC) 

The report’s main reference was the framework of the project “Economic and social support for olive producers in marginalized areas in Lebanon” issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. 

This report will be followed by a report on a detailed action plan, giving actionable good agricultural practices to be adopted in Lebanon, in general, and Mount Hermon KBA in specific.
